BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

The Financial Management Analyst is responsible for preparing the Embassy’s budget plans and monitoring ongoing spending, keeping the Financial Management Officer (FMO) appraised of budgets’ status. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring budget executions to ensure that spending patterns are consistent with financial plans, recommending adjustments to financial plans as necessary, monitoring all post held allotments and advising agencies of their ongoing expenditures, and updating budget information monthly. The incumbent funds Embassy orders for goods and services, and ensures orders are in compliance with US Government policies and regulations.
