Cord’s focus in South & East Asia is on developing the capacity of civil society through long-term partnerships formed around the challenges of governance and organisational development, and the cross-cutting issues of gender equity, human rights and natural resource management. Cord has established senior, multi-disciplinary teams in Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos working to support the capacity development of Cord partners. The Cord Asia regional office is co-located with the Cambodia office in Phnom Penh.
The Myanmar team has only recently been realised and will be implementing a European Commission grant from the middle of 2013 onwards.
