Paz y Desarrollo (PyD) is a Spanish international independent nonprofit organization with neither religious nor political affiliation, founded in the year 1991 in Córdoba (Spain).
Paz y Desarrollo established a Regional Office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 2009 to coordinate and support the work carried out by all its Country Offices in Asia: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Philippines, Timor Leste and Vietnam.
In Cambodia, PyD is currently implementing two 4-year regional programs aimed to promote Social and Economic Development with Gender Perspective (Cambodia, Timor Leste and Vietnam) and Political Participation with Gender Equity (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Philippines, Timor Leste and Vietnam). These programs are funded by the Spanish Agency of International Development Cooperation (AECID) and coordinated by Paz y Desarrollo Asia Regional Office. PyD Cambodia is also conducting the last year of implementation of a national program aimed to Improve Opportunities and to Encourage Cambodian Women’s role in Social, Political and Economic Areas.
These programs follow three interconnected approaches: human rights based approach; result based management approach as well as a comprehensive gender approach in all its actions.
In order to ensure the achievement of the long terms outcomes of the programs in Cambodia, PYD is recruiting a TECHNICAL ASSISTANT ON SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, based in Phnom Penh. He/she will be under the supervision of Head of Social and Economic Development Department and of the Country Representative in Cambodia.
- To contribute to the implementation of the programs of PYD in Cambodia, in both technical and financial aspects
- To support the social and economic development components of PYD interventions in Cambodia, focusing on capacity building and coaching to beneficiaries, as well as follow up of PyD provincial offices in Kratie, Stung Treng and Rattanakiri.
- To involve directly in the planning, implementation and follow up of the activities;
- To ensure the gender perspective is integrated in all the projects and activities of the component.
