RECOFTC is currently seeking qualified and committed professional(s) to fill the following positions of Provincial Project Officer    – Battambang


RECOFTC - The Center for People and Forests in partnership with Mlup Baitungand in close collaboration with concerned government agenciesis  implementing a 3-year project on UNDP/GEF Project #00075402 “Capacity building in Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through development of Community Forestry and Community Protected Area forest management plans that include business plans, ratification of CPA Guidelines, trials of additional CF modalities and SFM in Commune Land Use Planning (CLUP)”funded by the GEF and UNDP. The project aims to develop 30 community forestry (CF) and 10 community protected area (CPA) management and business plans, 6 trial sites onalternative community forestry modalities (ACFMs), i.e. Conservation Community Forestry, Community-Based Production Forestry, and Partnership Forestry, and 4 commune land use plans (CLUPs)  in the four target provinces in the Cardamom Mountain that are legally recognised by the Royal Government of Cambodia and are able to conserve their forests, self-sustain themselves and enhance their livelihoods through benefits accruing from the legal commercialisation of forest products whilst maintaining the environmental services of the forests.

Under the overall guidance of the RECOFTC Cambodia Country Program (CCP) Country Program Coordinator and CCP team and direct supervision of the project’s Component Technical Adviser (CTA):

The Project Officer (PO) is responsible for supporting and facilitating project implementation with sub-national offices of FA, local NGOs, local authorities, forest communities and other key stakeholders in  planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting project activities as per approved project work plan relating to the Community Forestry, Community Protected Areas, Alternative CF modalities (ACFMs) such as Community Based Production Forestry (CBPF), Conservation Community Forestry (CCF) including Commune Land Use Planning (CLUP)
