KAPE is a local NGO providing educational services in both the formal and non-formal education sectors in remote, rural, and generally underserved areas of eastern Cambodia. In October 2010, KAPE was informed that its associate, Creative Associates, Inc., had been awarded a contract by USAID to implement the School Dropout Prevention Pilot Program or SDPP. KAPE is acting as the local agency implementing SDPP in Cambodia, which is one of four countries that will benefit from this development assistance from the US Government. The other countries include Tajikistan, India, and Timor Leste. SDPP will be conducting intensive research on the causes of dropout in the education sector in these four countries and will be piloting interventions to reduce dropout based on the results of the initial research. CONSULTANCY PURPOSE

The Consultant will assist and support the implementation of in-country school dropout prevention activities, including the trainings to school personnel and community and ensuring that the country program meets its programmatic, technical, and operational objectives. S/he will provide direct support to the program team ensuring timely and qualitative implementation.
