ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: USD 12,116 – 18,785

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

The InterCountry Adoption Assistant position will be a hybrid position involving American citizen services, immigration visas, anti-fraud and policy skills. The incumbent will be the principal point of contact for the Royal Government of Cambodia on adoptions until an American adoption officer is assigned. S/he will answer written and oral public inquiries, maintain the adoption section of post's website, and perform outreach. S/he will update the country adoption flyer, assemble information packets for prospective adoptive parents and draft correspondence to Department of Homeland and Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Customs and Royal Government of Cambodia. Once adoptions resume, the incumbent will perform all duties involved in immigrant visa processing of children under the Hague Convention on InterCountry Adoption.
