The Cambodian Independent Teachers Association (“CITA”) was established in March 2000 and gained formal recognition from the Ministry of the Interior in July 2001. CITA is the only independent, nonpartisan, non-profit, non-governmental teachers’ union in Cambodia. Through national and international campaigning, CITA advocates for improvement of the difficult working conditions facing teachers in Cambodia and lobbies the Royal Government of Cambodia (“RGC”) to recognize teachers’ rights. CITA supports teachers through advocating for a living wage, safe and sanitary working conditions, protection of legal and democratic rights, continued professional development, and through documenting and gathering statistics on the issues they face.
To support the education programme, CITA is currently looking for 1 Accountant & Administrative officer and Translator/Project assistant, based in Phnom Penh.
