Terre des Hommes Netherlands (Earth for Mankind) is a Dutch organization founded in 1963 as a non- profit organization. Terre des Hommes Netherlands is committed to prevent child exploitation, remove children from exploitative situations and ensure these children can develop themselves in a safe environment. We aim to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children in difficult circumstances all over the world, regardless of race, faith and/or political orientation. For its country office in Cambodia which covers project areas in Cambodia and Laos, Terre des Hommes Netherlands is currently looking for a Country Manager.
As the Country Manager you will represent Terre des Hommes Netherlands in Cambodia and Laos, and manage a team and all programmes financed by Terre des Hommes Netherlands in the countries, ensuring high levels of programme impact and accountability.
Objective of the position:
To ensure that project partner deliver effective and efficient services to vulnerable children, to realise representation, fundraising and networking results and to ensure a smooth operation of the country office in line with Terre des Hommes Netherlands strategy, policies and procedures.
The Country Manager reports directly to the Regional Representative of Southeast Asia region.
Result areas:
- Programs: to ensure that country plan(s) and strategies are according to Terre des Hommes Netherlands vision and mission; ensure quality of programmes and projects and appropriate services to beneficiaries; ensure quality of Terre des Hommes Netherlands reports,
- Project funding: to improve cohesion between project implementation and budgets and timely expenditure of the budgets on programmes;
- Capacity building of partners: to improve quality of projects and assistance to beneficiaries and sufficient quality information to the donors;
- Representation, networking and fundraising: to establish and maintain good relationships with relevant government bodies, NGO’s and INGO’s, donors institutions and other related organisations to achieve good fundraising results and efficient information supply to internal parties and to donors;
- Country office operations: to ensure an effective, efficient and high quality implementation of activities in the country office, as well as lead the team in an inspiring way and in line with Terre des Hommes policies;
- Advice for the regional director and cooperation with other country managers: advice is given and the programmes team work closely together, in order to realise optimal regional organisation results.
