Background: The CHILDREN FOR BETTER FUTURE (CBF) is a local non-governmental organization, funded by international donor Australians for Cambodian Education (ACE). The CBF supports children’s basic rights to education, health and play. With its education and vocational training programs CBF supports Cambodian children to achieve sustainable livelihoods. Through the Happy School, the CBF provides disadvantaged children, living in Cambodia, with access to free, quality basic education. Currently, the Happy School provides free primary education (Grade 1-6) to approximately 100 students in the Phsar Deum Thkou area. The School also supports and encourages children to complete at least the lower secondary education or attend vocational skills training following their primary schooling.
The CBF is currently seeking for the qualified applicants to be responsible for the following position: School Director.
Overview: The School Director (SD) role exists to manage all Happy School operations and is the principal connection between The Happy School (HS) project and the CBF Board and core funding partners. The SD manages, supports and nurtures all HS staff and students and represents the School in the community and across NGO networks and government agencies. Importantly, the SD will manage the relocation of the Happy School to a new community in late 2014/early 2015. The SD is responsible for overseeing financial management and program reporting and is ultimately responsible to the Board of the Children for Better Future.
