Antenna Technologies France – ATF – www.antenna-france.org is a general interest association established in October 2002 under the French law of 1901. ATF forms part of Antenna Technologies Foundation (Geneva) network – www.antenna.ch which aims – since 1989 – at reducing extreme poverty and public health problems in developing countries through technological and scientific innovation. Combating malnutrition (through a local solution: the cultivation of spirulina, a food supplement with high nutritional value) and access to drinking water (through a local solution: chlorine production) are now the two main fields of action of Antenna.
Two farms for the production and distribution of spirulina were set up in Cambodia in 2011 under the direction of Antenna (one in Siem Reap and one in Kandal). The farms’ staff has now well integrated all technical aspects of spirulina cultivation. Social distributions are starting within large NGOs (PSE, ASPECA, Enfants d’Asie, Toutes à l’Ecole, etc). Commercial sales are already taking place in local stores. It is necessary, however, to develop such commercial activity and to set up a commercial policy. This is the purpose of the mission of the commercial manager.
