Handicap International (HI) is an international non-governmental organization which works alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in situations of poverty and exclusion. HI was founded in Cambodia in 1982. HI is currently operating in more than 50 countries. Its mission in Cambodia is to improve the quality of life of people with impairment and disability. Its areas of intervention are Social Action including livelihoods and inclusive local development, Health, Functional Rehabilitation, Rights and contributing to implementation of disability policies and legislation from central to local level.
Handicap International is seeking for one (1) Cambodian national to fulfill the position of Head of Kampong Cham Physical Rehabilitation Center Administrative Unit. The Head of Administrative Unit works under the responsibility of a center coordinator/project manager for rehabilitation. She/he collaborates with HI support service as well as with PoSVY administration.
Job context:
HI is responsible for managing Kampong Cham Physical rehabilitation Services on behalf of the MoSVY. Physical Rehabilitation Centre provides rehabilitation services to people with physical disabilities from Kampong Cham province including access to prosthesis/orthosis, physiotherapy treatment, assistive devices, dormitory and food. The centre receives around 2300 clients a year including men, women and children. A team of 27 staff (8 are civil servants of PoSVY) works at the PRC.
