Peace and Development Aid Organization (PDAO) is local NGO based in Takeo province with a Coordination Office in Phnom Penh. PDAO is an independent and non-profit organization. Its programs aim at developing households’ socio-economic situations and improving governance at the local community level by empowering women and the poor to participate actively in local and provincial government. PDAO also provides technical training and coaching as well as information on agricultural practices to enhance production levels and diversify agricultural production. This enhances livelihoods, nutrition and public health and assists in adapting to climate change, whilst making the best use of available natural resources. We currently operate in eight provinces throughout Cambodia.
PDAO has extensive experience in projects related to agricultural development. Our organization has had strong success with rural development projects, focused on a range of activities related to the diversification of rural livelihoods. These activities include rice crops, fruit trees, secondary crops, livestock raising (chicken, pig, cow, and goat etc.), and community based organization (CBO) development at village and provincial level.
